Use case

Put the product on the website, not a form.

Replace the book-a-demo button with an interactive demo buyers drive themselves: what to capture, where to place it, how to gate it, and what the funnel tells you.

Most B2B sites have one path to seeing the product: a form, a calendar, a thirty-minute call. Everyone who was merely curious leaves. An interactive demo on the site gives the curious a two-minute drive through real screens, keeps the call for the people who finished and clicked the CTA, and tells you which screen lost the rest.

How it works

Step by step

  1. Capture the eight screens that sellOpen your product in a demo account with believable data, start the Tellane extension, click through the one workflow a buyer cares about. Each click becomes a stop. Six to ten stops is the right length for a site demo.
  2. Write one sentence per stopThe tooltip says what the buyer gets on that screen, not what the button is called. Put the hotspot on the control a real user would click.
  3. Place it where the decision happensAbove the fold on the homepage or product page, and on the pricing page next to the plans. Use the embed snippet (one iframe) or link the public URL from the CTA button.
  4. Decide on the gateLeave the homepage demo open. If you want leads from it, add a lead-form stop past the midpoint, after the screen that makes people lean in — never first.
  5. Set the last stop's destinationThe CTA at the end goes where you want the buyer next: sign-up, pricing, or the calendar — now for people who already know the product fits.

What you learn

What the analytics show

  • Plays and viewers by day, with the previous period for comparison
  • The per-stop funnel — the stop where people park is the one to fix
  • CTA clicks and, if gated, leads with the drive attached
  • Sources and referrers, so you know which page and campaign sent the drives
  • Device split, so you catch a hotspot that is unreachable on mobile

Plan

Free covers one published lane with seven days of analytics and the badge. Growth ($39/seat annual) removes the badge, keeps every day of analytics, and adds lead forms and branching.

FAQ

Questions

Will an interactive demo on the site reduce demo requests?

It changes who requests them. Fewer unqualified requests, and the ones that arrive have already driven the product. The CTA at the end of the lane still books the call.

Does it need to be HTML-captured to look real?

For a click-through on a website, screenshots are indistinguishable in the player. HTML matters when buyers must type into the demo.

How do I embed it?

The share modal gives you an iframe snippet; paste it into any page builder's HTML or embed block. See the embed guides for Webflow, WordPress, Framer, HubSpot, Notion and others.
