Terms of service.

The agreement

By creating a Tellane account or using the service you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you have the authority to bind it, and “you” means that company. If you don't agree, don't use Tellane.

Accounts and workspaces

• You must be at least 16 and give us a working email address, which we verify before the account can sign in.
• You are responsible for everything done under your account. Keep your password private; turning on two-factor authentication is strongly recommended and available to every plan.
• A workspace is owned jointly by its admins. Admins can invite, promote, and remove members, change billing, export the workspace, and schedule its deletion. Tellane will not adjudicate disputes between members of a workspace.
• Each admin or editor uses a seat; viewers are free. Inviting past your seat limit is refused until you add seats.

Your content

Everything you put into Tellane — captured screens, stop copy, lane names, lead data, integration settings — is yours. You grant Tellane a licence to host, copy, transmit, and display it only as needed to run the service for you: for example to serve a lane to a viewer, email a lead alert, or build the export you asked for. That licence ends when the content is deleted.

You promise that:

• you have the rights to capture and publish what your screens show, including any third-party material visible in them;
• your captures don't expose other people's personal data, credentials, or confidential information you aren't allowed to share;
• lead data you collect is collected lawfully, with whatever notice and consent the law where your viewers live requires.

We don't look at your content except to operate the service, to help you when you ask, or when the law or an abuse report requires it.

Demos, viewers, and leads

A published lane is public: anyone with the link can drive it, and search engines may index it. Unpublish or archive a lane to stop that. The player records how each viewer drives (see the privacy policy) and, where you add a form, the answers they give. You are the controller of that data; Tellane processes it on your instructions. On the Free plan demos carry a small “Made with Tellane” badge; paid plans can remove it.

Acceptable use

Don't use Tellane to:

• capture or publish anything illegal, infringing, deceptive, or harmful, or a product you don't have the right to show;
• impersonate another company or misrepresent a demo as something it isn't;
• send unsolicited bulk messages to the leads you collect, or otherwise break anti-spam and privacy law;
• probe, overload, or interfere with the service, other workspaces, or our rate limits, or resell access without our agreement;
• upload malware or content designed to exploit the people who view it.

We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules, and we'll tell you why unless the law prevents it.

Plans, trials, and billing

• Trial. Every new workspace starts a 14-day Growth trial with 5 seats, no card required. When it ends without a subscription the workspace moves to the Free plan: nothing is deleted, but lanes beyond the Free limit pause until you upgrade.
• Paid plans are billed per seat, monthly or yearly, in advance, through Paddle, our merchant of record. Paddle issues the invoice, handles sales tax and VAT, and holds your payment details; its terms also apply to the purchase.
• Changing seats is prorated immediately. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the current period; you keep Growth until then and can resume any time before.
• Refunds. Yearly plans can be refunded in full within 14 days of the first charge. Otherwise fees are non-refundable except where the law requires it.
• Failed payments keep the plan active while Paddle retries; if they keep failing the workspace drops to Free.
• Prices can change with at least 30 days' notice by email; changes apply at your next renewal.

API, extension, and integrations

API keys act as a member of one workspace and are subject to the documented rate limits. Keep them secret; anything done with a key is done by you. The Chrome extension captures screenshots of the tab you are on only while you have started a capture and only uploads them to your workspace. Third-party integrations (HubSpot, Slack, Zapier, Google) are governed by their own terms; we pass data to them only after you connect them and only as described in Settings → Integrations.

Tellane's property

Tellane, the player, the editor, the extension, the name and the lane mark are ours. You get a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use them under these terms; you don't get to copy the service, reverse-engineer it, or remove our notices. Feedback you give us may be used without obligation.

Ending the agreement

• You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Profile, and a workspace from Settings → Workspace. Workspace deletion waits 14 days so any admin can change their mind; then everything in it is purged.
• We can suspend or end access if you materially break these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the service — in which case we give at least 60 days' notice and time to export.
• Sections that by their nature should survive (content ownership, liability, governing law) do.

Warranties and liability

We work hard to keep Tellane up, accurate, and secure. But the service is provided “as is”: we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that analytics are exact — ad-blockers and network conditions affect what the player can report.

To the extent the law allows, Tellane is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, lost revenue, or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for fraud or wilful misconduct.

You agree to indemnify Tellane against claims arising from content you publish or from your breach of these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms. For material changes we email account holders at least 14 days before they take effect and update the date at the top. Continuing to use Tellane after that date means you accept the new terms.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Tellane is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes are resolved in its courts — unless you are a consumer, in which case the mandatory protections of your home country still apply.
