Where to put an interactive demo on your website.
The four placements that work — homepage hero, product page, pricing page, and the button that said 'book a demo' — with how each should be sized and what to measure.

The short answer. Four places, in order of return: beside or replacing the 'book a demo' button; above the fold on the product or feature page; beside the plans on the pricing page; and the homepage hero if the product is the pitch. Size it to the column, keep each placement's lane short, and read plays by referrer to see which placement works.
The four placements
- The 'book a demo' button — link it to a lane or replace it with 'Drive the demo'; keep the calendar link at the end of the lane for people who finished.
- Product or feature page, above the fold — the lane of that feature, six to ten stops, beside the copy.
- Pricing page — a short lane per plan or per differentiating feature, beside the cards, CTA to the plan.
- Homepage hero — only if the product is visual enough to be the pitch; otherwise a 'see it' link to the product page lane.
Sizing
Full column width, about 640 px tall on desktop; on phones the player scales to the column. A lane in a narrow sidebar is a thumbnail — link it to the full lane instead.
What to measure per placement
Plays by referrer (which page sent the drive), completion per placement, and CTA clicks. A placement with many plays and early parking is in the right place with the wrong lane; one with few plays is in the wrong place.
