Glossary

Lead-form gate.

A lead-form gate is a form inside an interactive demo that asks the viewer for an email (and optionally name and company) before they can continue past a certain point.

Also: gated demo · demo lead form

Gating trades reach for contact details. Gate at the start and most viewers leave; gate after the screen that makes people lean in and the ones who fill it in are the ones who want the rest. Many teams run the homepage demo ungated and gate the deeper, personalized one.

A form submitted mid-demo is worth more than a website form because it arrives with the drive attached — which stops the viewer reached, whether they clicked the call to action, how long they spent.

In Tellane: Any stop can be a lead-form stop. The lead arrives with the drive attached and a score; later clicks keep updating it. See how →

Should I gate my interactive demo?

Not at the start. Gate past the midpoint of a deeper demo; leave the homepage demo open.
