Demo automation.

Demo automation is the practice — and the software category — of producing and delivering product demos without a salesperson present, using interactive demos, demo videos, or sandboxes that prospects access on demand.

G2 introduced Demo Automation as a category for the tools that do this, and it now spans four kinds of product: guided interactive tours built from captures, video demo libraries assembled per viewer, live AI agents, and enterprise sandboxes that clone the product with editable data.

The promise is scale: a sales engineer can deliver a finite number of live demos a week; an automated demo delivers to everyone who clicks. The trade-off is fidelity and adaptability — a live demo answers the question the buyer actually asked.

Most teams adopt demo automation at the top of the funnel first (website, outbound) and keep live demos for qualified opportunities.

In Tellane: Tellane is the guided-interactive kind of demo automation: captured screens, a guided path, analytics, lead capture. See how →
