Glossary
Digital sales room.
A digital sales room is a private, shareable web space a seller assembles for one deal — proposal, pricing, recordings, demos, mutual action plan — so the buying committee has one link instead of an email thread of attachments.
Also: DSR · deal room · buyer portal
The pitch is buyer-side convenience and seller-side telemetry: everything about the deal lives at one URL, and the seller sees who from the account opened what. DSRs appear as standalone products and as features inside sales platforms (Walnut ships deal rooms alongside its demos).
Interactive demos are natural DSR content — a room with a drivable walkthrough beats a room of PDFs — and the personalized link serves the same telemetry purpose on its own: one URL per account, engagement per stakeholder visit, without the full room apparatus. Many teams start there and add a DSR when deals involve enough documents to need one.
In Tellane: A prospect link inside any deal room — or in place of one — attributes every drive to the account and alerts you when the demo is completed. See how →
FAQ
One more question
Do I need a DSR product to have a deal room?
A Notion or Confluence page with the proposal, the demo embedded, and the action plan is a deal room — the embed guides on this site cover both. Dedicated DSR products add branding, permissions, and per-viewer analytics.
